6 boys vs 3 girls vs 2 both. This is getting very interesting. Now, Chapter 39 has weird pacing but I hope you guys can forgive me for this! ^_^ As for Round 6, it’s not that exciting but oh well~ Hopefully, the next one will be! The two female members of the Populars have met their matches in each other this early in the competition by random! Both girls have around the same number of votes each round with Frida having one more win than Victoria. However, this is because Victoria has been facing harder opponents early in the competition in comparison to Frida. There is no clear winner at this point. Both of these beauties will have to win using everything other their good looks to win this match. Who will move on with one more win in their records? The Caucasian Popular or the Latino Popular?

VANCE MILES GRAY (5-0) VS WENDY WILSHIRE (5-0 )
Although this round is pretty boring, there is one other exciting match between Vance and Wendy. Both of these characters have been defeating their opponents mercilessly. Both Vance and Wendy are in it to win it all, pushing their way to the top. In order to accomplish this, they both must win this early victory. Although Vance finished his arc recently, Wendy is not even close to finishing hers. Will this be the determining factor in winning this match? Or will their relationships with their respected friends (Rin and Jezebelle) be it? Can Vance accomplish what Bo failed to do and take down Wendy?

LEXI (0-5) VS ZANE RODERICK (1-4)
Even though this competition is about getting the most wins and landing in the top 16, there are some matches between the not-so-lucky characters to watch out for. Lexi versus Zane is one of them. Although Lexi has been getting a lot of screen time recently, she’s not doing so well. Zane lacks screen time to do well in the first place but he still doesn’t want to lose out to Lexi this round. Neither of them want to add any more losses to their records. Things can only pick up from here for both of them if they hold out long enough. Who will hold out long enough to gain this much needed momentum? The proud Brit or the talkative Asian?

Yes, once again, I just have to comment on the tennis stuff. Fi, for being a sophomore, serving 100 mph is insane. (Yes, it was just what she thought she hit is at, but she’s always right… she’s Fi) I liked that, because, yet once again, it reminds me of me when I play tennis. (this week, I hit 121 mph, measured with a radar gun, and to put that in perspective, that’s faster than most professional serves [granted, I got really lucky, but whatever]).
Anyway, enough tangential talk… More on the story.
That Jin/Jordan pairing is becoming more and more apparent with each chapter. Which, I don’t personally mind, but… well, okay, I’m not a pairings person.
Joyce is adorable. Her story isn’t anything we haven’t heard before… but, hey Having a conversation like that with Bo just to get her to a tennis practice? That was entertaining to think about.
Hm. What else…

Hello Minnie,
Jezebelle is so Jezebelle this chapter. She is one of the reasons I want to see this story animated or published or whatever. How will the public audience react to Jezebelle? Is our conservative audience ready for the likes of her? Honestly, Jezebelle’s role in the story defines her more than her character. Sure, there are a lot of cunning and ambitious female characters like her out there but this is the first time that she’s not only the female lead, but the male lead’s love interest too. Rin fits the female lead more than she and Rin is far from what most people see as the typical childhood-type character. I am really interested on where you’re going with Jezebelle’s character. The most obvious route is of course for Jin to change Jezebelle into a nice girl but that’s so cliche.
Even though Roselle’s arc is over, I’m glad to see she still has a lot of screen time. Then again, being Jordan’s girlfriend helps a lot. I enjoy both Yvette’s and Joyce’s stories. I’m beginning to wonder if the story will end with Bo ending up with Joyce. She really is a pitiful character and I hope she lightens up more in the future. Surprisingly, I enjoy Bo’s serious side a lot. I guess it’s hard to joke around with someone like her huh?
I was hoping for an Yvette/David moment this chapter. Darn you Minnie. Instead, I’ll be waiting patiently for Sid and Sherry’s eventual break up. It’s going to happen. I want to say that I’m right. I had a bad vibe from those two since the moment they appear together. Why can’t couples in this story give off good vibes like Bailey/Joseph Cruz?
We need more of that delightful couple.
Grim! It is about time we get to know more about why he likes Roselle so much. I’ve been a Grim/Roselle supporter from the very beginning. I guess I can relate to Grim, that’s why. He’s serious, calculating, and funny. If he wishes to get together with Roselle, he needs to be more obvious since she’s oblivious to it all. I don’t want Grim to be the reason why Roselle and Jordan break up in the future but I do think Grim will eventually win since Jordan obviously belongs to Jin.
Speaking of Jin/Jordan, they are giving off Quinn/KT vibes again. Unfortunately for Jordan, if he goes this route, he will end up like Quinn in Minnie’s hands. His love will be one-sided. Jin will eventually reject him. He’ll seek revenge on Jezebelle and become the real antagonist of this story, etc etc. Unfortuately, unlike Quinn, I can’t see Jordan being very antagonistic. He’s such a weak, yet lovable character in general. He’s like the nice love interest that never wins or something. Anyways, Jordan liking Jin is too obvious at this point and if you manage to prove otherwise, I’ll like to see you convince me Minnie. Good luck.
No Kristian/Bo/Vance for Rin this chapter? Boo.

I hate major character versus major character matches the most though (they are most likely at the end) because my favorite keeps changing. One chapter, it might be Kristian. Another chapter, Rin. Right now, my current favorite is Jin but I have no doubt after a couple of chapters, my favorite will change again. I’ll die if I have to pick between Roselle and Wendy at this point. That would be the most evil match up, second to only Jin versus Rin. Jin versus Rin… I don’t even want to think about that one…

ALEX <333333 I'd totally forgotten about him haha. It's so cool that he turned out to be Yvette's coach *_*. Yvette just rose another few points in my book with her need for friends
. Also Jezebelle too, not because she helped her, but because her motives are now so much more… out of the ordinary. I really want to know more about her now, her past and why she's the way she is. Also, Mochi ice cream!
Joyce is boring, no offense. I can see the beautiful sadness she emanates but she's still not fun to read.
AHH JORDAN'S SO CUTE. Onii-channn. Getting depressed over Jin and Jezebelle's good relationship. You are not escaping with this, Minh, Jordan SO has the hots for Jin D:.

I even had to ask Minnie, “Are May/Mai lolis?” Just because they struck me as lolis. I sort of knew they weren’t… but had to ask anyway.
And despite my normal track record of horribly fluctuating favorite characters (Jezebelle, Jin, Kristian, Rin, Xuan Lan, Vance, Eunice, and Tiffany all have been my favorite characters at one time) I have had the same favorite character for a while now.
